Bitmap Monogram
Bitmap Monogram introduces a modular font based on a grid system. An overcoming challenge of designing a font restricted solely to geometric forms. The purpose consisted of being able to compose a coherent set of letters that reflect one another.
The group consists of open forms allowing viewers to flow from one letter to another. The ascender of the “h” leads the eye down through to the “e”. The open form of the “e” then pushes the eyes to the “p” where it’s drawn out to its descender. The design is inspired by children’s building blocks, creating a geometric block life font.

After reviewing the original design the eye of the “e” wasn’t following the same development of the “h” and “p”. The change aids in more proportional spacing in comparison to the composition as a whole.
