Project 6
Album Cover
The Album Cover design reflects the deep connection between art and music. The songs within the album are inspired by different women in the artist's life. The bright flash of light coming from the trees reflects on The Lumineers, meaning light itself. The faded title is a notion that it’s disappearing just like the women. The orange and green hues reflect the genre of music and the artist.
The label incorporates colors from the cover as well as a silhouetted taxi. The zoetrope references a taxi driving yet rejects the notion that it’s going anywhere, correlating with lyrics.
The photograph is based on a girl walking away into the darkness. She is under a bright light referring to a future ahead. A taxi awaits her as a reference to the song Angela, singing, “When you left this town, with your windows down”. Elements tie back to the notion of a mysterious nightfall with hidden iconography.
